Rania Haynes is an independently-licensed therapist who has served as a mental health counselor in the context of Christian private practices since 2017. She strives daily to serve her clients to her highest ability, diagnosing and treating a wide variety of mental health issues for children, adults, couples and families.
Though Rania is rooted in her Christian faith and many clients desire to lean on their spirituality as a source to draw strength from in their counseling, Rania also acknowledges that each person has a unique journey towards finding healing and strength that are outside of Christian Counseling. Services are always personalized and great respect is shown to each person’s preferences, background, culture and belief systems.
Rania received her bachelor’s degree in Art Therapy in 1997 and her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling in 2013, both from Bowling Green State University. She also has advanced training in the use of Expressive Therapies, such as art and play.
Rania spent more than 10 years working in a children’s hospital, specializing in acute and chronic illnesses and supporting children and their families as a Certified Child Life Specialist. She subsequently completed her internship in a Christian private practice in the treatment of opioid addiction providing IOP and After Care groups as well as individual therapy. Prior to entering private practice, Rania served in a community mental health agency for over four years in a wide range of dynamic settings including transitional housing, school mental health hubs and in-home counseling services.
